Meri Mumbai

today I decided to take a plunge into blogging ...suna Amitabh, Aamir bhi blog karte hein...and haaan my sis blogs so she was the one who inspired me to start blogging. This is a new venture so I might sound rubbish or a might sound dragging a bit...but whatever penned down will be seeeedha dilse !!!!
My first blog I would like to dedicate it to Mumbai or should I say Meri Mumbai. Yes the very vibrant and lively Mumbai. So Mumbai heres to you from an hardcore mumbaiyite.
I was born and bought up in Mumbai, did my entire education in Mumbai, started my career in IT industry in Mumbai, found my life partner in Mumbai, got my first own House in Mumbai, got my sons in Mumbai...........
Well all that Iam today as a person is bcoz of Mumbai. I hear people say Mumbai Rocks but I would say Mumbai LIVES.
The sunrise of Mumbai is beautiful...though some claim the sunrise to be humid..well you got to rise along with the sun in Mumbai to know the feel of it. The mornings of mumbai is busy in catching either a 7:45 BEST or an 8:15 CST Local or a Churchgate local. People live by the time and thats the beauty of Mumbai ...it respects time and values for time.
The evenings are again a rush for the same train , same boggie, same seat and same faces. Though not related to each other but kind of an extended family. They discuss everything from politics, to cricket, to recession, to budget .....
This is the only city on the earth where you will find even ladies jumping into a moving train as it approaches the platform just with the intention and hope to catch the best of the seats and then settle down to either cut vegetables or to knitt a sweater.
The nights are lively...and true to the stamp that Mumbai has "Mumbai never sleeps". A simple drive down the Queens Necklace or a quick stroll down Linking Road or a nice lazy walk on the shores of Juhu Chowpatty.... welcomes the night in Mumbai.
Mumbai has both the class enjoying its day be it the elite class or the non-elite class. Both have their own ways of living their day in Mumbai.
Now you might be thinking yeh kyon banda paka raha hai Mumbaike baremein likhke hum jante hein Mumbai kaisi hai...
Well its been 4 years now I am away from Mumbai and in Bangalore. And believe me though being a Mangalorean I still say Mumbai is my first love and then comes others. There is no place on this earth which can replace the love for Mumbai in my heart.
I was hurt when My Mumbai was attacked and I spent sleepless nights till My Mumbai was freed from this terrorist. The award for Slumdog Millioanire bought a big smile on my face as it depicted my Mumbais real life thought that is not the only life.
Lastly I can say "Iam a Mumbaikar"
